पहिलो चोटि म चरा हेर्न गएको २०१४ मा हो । नेपाल पंक्षी संरक्षण संघको आयोजनामा एक दिने चरा भ्रमणमा गोदावरीदेखि पनौतीसम्म चरा अवलोकन गर्नका निम्ति हिँडेका हामीले धेरै चराहरु हेर्ने मौका पाएका थियौँ । तर, म नयाँ भएका कारण मैले चराको च चिन्न त के भेट्टाउन पनि सकेको थिइनँ । चराको किताब र दूरबिनको महत्त्व मलाई त्यसबेला लागेको थियो ।  आफूसँग चाहिने सामग्री नभएका कारण म त्यसपछि महिनौँ हराएँ । २०१५ तिर साना स्तनधारी प्राणी संरक्षण तथा अनुसन्धान फाउन्डेशनले चन्द्रागिरीमा एक महिने वन्यजन्तुको फिल्ड सर्भे योजनामा म पनि दुई मध्ये एक स्वयंसेवकको रुपमा काम गर्ने मौका पाएँ । बिहान चरा हेर्ने र चिन्ने, तथा चरा सँगसँगै अरु बन्यजन्तु पनि नछुटाउने, साथै साँझमा जङ्गलमा क्यामरा ट्रयाप राख्ने कामले थुप्रै काम सिकेको अनुभूति भएको थियो । आफ्नै दूरबिन झुण्ड्याउन अनि आफैँले चरा चिन्न निकै सहज हुन थालेको थियो । हरि बस्नेत दाई, हेम बहादुर कटुवाल दाई र कञ्चन पराजुली दाईले संस्थाको तर्फबाट उपहार दिएको चराको किताबले मलाई झन् हौस्याएको थियो । अब बाँकी थियो आफ्नो दूरबिन किन्न । विद्यार्थी कालमा त्यस्तो महङ्गो क...

Friday, the sixth day of the week, arrived. Almost every Friday and Saturday of the year, I used to go to my maternal home, Sanothimi in Bhaktapur. I first visited Kathmandu when I was three years old. I can't remember anything, but I've filled my photo album with lovely photos of myself with my mum and dad. Still, when I want to see pictures of cute children, I go through the same photo album and look at my own pictures. After visiting Kathmandu, I returned to Salyan, my birthplace. Exactly a year later, I moved to Kathmandu to study. Several memories remain vivid in my mind from this point forward. Daddy had admitted me to Birat Boarding School. We rented two rooms. Three of us used to live there: daddy, uncle, and 'Cute Baby' myself. My mother's job was in Salyan, so we only saw her during Dashain (one of Nepal's largest festivals).
